Jonathan
Piano & Double Bass
Jonathan is a graduate of the Juilliard School, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He studied piano for 13 years, first in his native country of Germany, and later with Efrem and Natalia Briskin in New York.
As a double bass and viola da gamba player, Jonathan specializes in music before 1800 and has performed under conductors like Marin Alsop, Emmanuel Villaume, and William Christie and with ensembles such as Juilliard415, American Bach Soloists, and Twelfth Night Ensemble.
Jonathan has extensive experience working with children of all ages, both as a caretaker for babies, toddlers, and kids, and for young teens as a mentor for students in the Juilliard Pre- College Program.
As a teacher, Jonathan is excited to teach beginner students appreciation for music and fostering musicality in an approachable way.
