Violin, Co-founder
Israeli-American violinist and educator, Leerone Hakami, is the co-founder and co-director of West Amadeus Music Studio and a graduate of The Juilliard School. She has performed across three continents at venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, collaborating with orchestras, chamber ensembles, singers, dancers, and artists across a wide range of musical settings.
Classically trained, with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from The Juilliard School, Leerone’s performance and teaching experience extends beyond the traditional classical repertoire to include pop, klezmer, improvisation, and Baroque historical performance practice. She brings more than a decade of teaching experience to her work with students of all ages and levels, from young beginners as early as age four to adult students over the age of 75.
Leerone combines a strong technical and musical foundation with an encouraging, highly individualized approach. She helps each student build confidence, musical independence, and a lasting connection to the violin while exploring repertoire that reflects their interests and goals. Her students have been accepted to distinguished programs including the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division, Juilliard summer programs, the Indiana University Summer String Academy, and other competitive festivals and music programs.
