Absolutely! And you would be amazed to see how much you can accomplish. What is the benefit of learning music as an adult?

Music study trains the brain, improving memory, coordination, critical thinking, and much more. It’s never too late to keep developing your brain, and music is a great way to stimulate different areas of the brain at once. It is also a great way to take time out of your busy day and allow for some therapeutic self-care through music study.

“When I first started lessons with Shay, I was nervous and embarrassed about being an adult learner, starting piano later on in life. Even from my first lesson, I could feel how incredibly patient and caring he is towards his students. Shay’s encouraging, kind-hearted attitude and warm communication style has made a world of difference for me: He is not only shaping and refining my musical sensibilities, but he has also taught me how to be patient with myself. His perceptiveness in assessing how to improve your musicality demonstrates not only his expertise, but also his personal relationship and commitment to the piano. In my ongoing time with him, Shay continues to enhance not only my piano proficiency and comprehension, but also my intrinsic sensitivity towards music as the language of human experience.”
