Piano Lessons FAQs

What age is best to start playing piano?

Piano is a fantastic instrument that can be enjoyed by all ages, since it does not require advanced physical development to make a sound. Children as young as age 4 can start enjoying piano lessons at West Amadeus.

It’s never too late to start either! Our oldest piano student is 80+ years old. Whether you are looking to revive old skills, are completely new, or simply want a healthy way to de-stress, our piano teachers will serve your desired goals.

What areas do you serve?

Lessons are offered either in your home, online for local and international students, or in one of our teachers’ teaching spaces. Contact us to see which option will be best for you. We currently work with a wide range of students, nationally and internationally.

Do you offer online lessons?

Yes! Many of our students and parents prefer online lessons because students progress, while maintaining the convenience of staying at home. We find that online lessons encourage our students to fully understand each concept. It’s easy to simply move a child’s hand in a lesson, but having the student understand the reason behind it and fix the hand on their own is an even more efficient strategy. Take lessons from the convenience of your own space and skip commuting time!

How many times per week are lessons?

All students are welcome to take one or multiple lessons per week. Lessons are offered weekly for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. If you would like to have lessons longer than 60 minutes, get in touch with us.

Who are your teachers?

Piano teachers at West Amadeus Music Studio are experienced musicians, who have dedicated their whole lives to mastering their instruments. Each teacher holds a degree from The Juilliard School and has an abundance of teaching experience. They are passionate about passing along the knowledge they’ve gathered over the years!

Do you offer performance opportunities or recitals?

Yes. We offer multiple recitals throughout the year and encourage all students to perform to help increase their confidence and artistry.
